Testimonials - King Oaks
Brandi Rice, Property Owner
We really liked this lot with all the trees in the back. We thought it was good for our family, and liked where it's located on a quiet little block away from everything. These are good size lots back here and I think we're going to be really happy with it. We came out here and we saw the land, and it just felt right. We decided to just go for it and not to wait until we were older and retired, but to do it now.

When we came out here just the trees and the peacefulness out here, we fell in love with it. We said we weren't going to buy anything but just look and that lasted for about 15 minutes. What really sold us on this one was the size of the trees that we have back here. What's really nice is you can hear the birds and it's very very peaceful. The neighborhood here is nice and gorgeous and you're not living 6 ft from one wall to the next house. It's just an absolutely spectacular area!

The whole atmosphere here is one you can enjoy with the biking, the fishing wharf, and the pavilion. All of those things are attractive when you're looking for a place to live. One of the things we really loved was the trees! There are probably over 200 trees on our property. Everything about the land is beautiful. A large part of our decision was the Bluegreen Corporation. They have multiple developments around the nation and in Texas. We knew they had a good reputation, were going to follow through and do what they said they would do.

We had a lot of help with the staff at King Oaks They've been very instrumental in helping us build in a new area because we're new to Iola. One of the things that drew us to King Oaks first was the scenery, but then in doing our market research we realized that Texas Homesites® was part of the Fortune 500. That meant a lot to us because it meant that they'd invested a lot of money and resources into making sure that the properties they develop are going to be successful.

When building in King Oaks with the views that are available, you want to make sure when you design the house that you have plenty of windows . Most people move into a subdivision like this for the aesthetics and the views. They want to be able to sit on their back porch and not see their neighbor and enjoy the views. We like the area, we like King Oaks and working with Bluegreen, We plan on building many more.

Our back porch will over look these beautiful trees and there will be a pond in the back. We're hoping to put a pier there so we can sit out at night and feed the fish and just enjoy the beauty of this. Obviously prices are going to go up. No one is making any more land, you might say it's a nonrenewable commodity. We particularly like the fact that there's no time limit to build because we're not quite ready to do that yet and we don't have to have a particular builder, we can choose our own builder. The fact that we can choose our own builder. It's peaceful and quiet and the air is crisp and clean, and when you live in Houston, the air is not crisp and clean.
